CAF Connect brings together practical information, a community and links to activities to help you find your feet and meet people on arrival. Start with the preparation guides and explore the community according to your interests.
You do not need to have everything sorted to introduce yourself. Share your city, approximate dates and interests without posting sensitive information. The community helps you make connections; it does not guarantee work, accommodation or professional answers to every situation. For migration, tax or medical decisions, use the appropriate authority or professional.
You can share your city, approximate arrival month and the kind of activity you are interested in. For example: “I'm arriving in Brisbane this month and would like to meet people for coffee or to practise English.” You do not need to post your address, documents or detailed itinerary.
Confirm the meeting place and time and keep an alternative way home. Feeling connected to a group does not replace checking a job or room offer. For those decisions, see employment (in Spanish) and accommodation (in Spanish).
Prepare accommodation, transfers and a budget you can use independently. The community should broaden your options, not be your only way to spend the first night or reach a destination.
To meet people, choose activities with clear information and introduce yourself with your city and interests. Confirm the place and time through the organiser's channel, keep an alternative way home and avoid sharing your private address publicly. If a plan changes, it should not leave you without accommodation or money. Having your own arrangements helps you join in more comfortably.
Organise your arrival (in Spanish) and continue with your first administrative steps (in Spanish). Then choose plans that suit you in events (in Spanish). Join in at your own pace: the community gives you more options without asking you to share every detail of your life.
